Rules for Alcohol Consumption at Te Puke War Memorial Hall

Sale of Alcohol: If you are selling alcohol, you must apply for a Liquor License as per the Sale and Supply of Liquor Act 2012.

A Hall Monitoring Fee of $150.00 applies for all large-scale events where alcohol is being served. The hall representative will make callouts during the event set-up, during the event and at the end of the event. At any point in time during the event, the Hall Manager reserves the right to remain on site to monitor the event where he/she deems necessary. This will be charged to the user at $50/hour. They will be given full authority to shut down the event also if they believe necessary. No refund will be given should this occur.

I agree to provide food such as bread, pasta, meat, and cheese that slow the absorption of alcohol into the blood and delay its harmful effects.

I understand that the Hall is surrounded by a Liquor Free Zone and it is an offence to consume alcohol within that zone. ALL alcohol must be consumed inside the Hall only. The Hall is monitored by CCTV and the local Police.

I agree to ensure that alternative transport must be available. If an intoxicated person is identified it is the host's responsibility to ensure safe transport is available.

I agree to set an end time. All drinking must cease, and the hall must be vacated by 12am (midnight). If you are still in the hall after this time the Hall Monitor, Security, Police or Hall Management has the right to shut down the event along with possible loss of bond. You are allowed back in the hall from 6am to clean up after your function but no drinking is allowed during the clean-up time.

Hall Alcohol Management Policy
Te Puke War Memorial Hall requires the consumption of alcohol to be conducted in a safe and orderly manner. You, as the person who booked the Hall facilities and who is hosting the event, holds ultimate responsibility for the behaviour of those attending your event. Failing to comply with this policy, will result in an immediate shut down of the event and termination of your event/booking along with potential loss of bond. Te Puke Hall Management reserve the right to patrol the facilities at any time. The Hall is closely monitored by our security team who also have the right to shut down any event and to contact local Police if any issues arise.
